Maverick Rose is the fusion of sibling creatives: producer and visualist, Jose Vides, and writer Cristina Williams.
Our mission is to tell stories that celebrate the beauty, mess, and magic of human connection, bringing to life stories that leave a lasting imprint on people’s hearts.

Beginning his career as a concept artist and designer in the film industry, José has brought to life the visual worlds of high-profile productions across genres and platforms. His credits include the Star Wars series The Acolyte, Marvel’s Emmy-nominated Loki: Season 2, The Fall Guy, Ticket to Paradise starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, the BBC’s Dope Girls, and Disney/AMC’s Nautilus.
José has contributed to the visual development of cinematic worlds that captivate global audiences, working closely with directors and production designers to shape story through space, mood, and detail.
Now as a filmmaker, he draws on that foundation to create emotionally resonant, visually rich stories that feel expansive and alive.

Cristina Williams is a writer from El Salvador, who relocated to Australia as a child refugee during the civil war. In 2014, Cristina won a Screen Australia one year mentorship award to develop her first rom-com. She has since written prolifically across many genres and trained in screenwriting in the USA with Corey Mandell and RoadMap Writers. Her passion lies in creating inspiring comedies and dramas that explore love and relationships within high-concept story worlds. Cristina proudly embraces her Latinx heritage, frequently incorporating Hispanic culture and characters into her content.
Cristina resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with her husband and their Brady bunch of 8 (generally decent) children. She speaks three languages and believes that her life experience as a refugee outsider, mother, and world traveler has fueled her desire to write stories that reveal beauty in dark places and laughter in the storm. She is represented by Jon Taub of CT Media.
